📌 Key Responsibilities

• Assess and manage acute and chronic sports injuries including ligament sprains, muscle strains, stress fractures, and overuse injuries in recreational and competitive athletes
• Design and implement individualised return-to-sport rehabilitation programmes with phased progressions and functional milestones
• Apply sports taping, Kinesio Taping, and strapping techniques for injury support and prevention
• Conduct functional movement screening and sports-specific performance assessments to identify injury risk factors
• Develop and deliver injury prevention programmes for sports teams and individual athletes
• Collaborate with strength and conditioning coaches, orthopaedic surgeons, and sports medicine physicians on athlete rehabilitation plans
• Educate athletes on injury management, nutrition for recovery, and safe return-to-play criteria

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• Describe your approach to managing an acute ankle ligament sprain in an athlete.
• How do you design a return-to-sport programme after ACL reconstruction?
• What sports taping techniques are you proficient in and when do you use them?
• How do you use functional movement screening in athlete assessment?
• Describe a time you worked as part of a multidisciplinary sports medicine team.
• How do you manage an athlete who wants to return to sport before they are clinically ready?
• What injury prevention programmes have you designed for a sports team or club?
• Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Coimbatore.

BPT (Bachelor of Physiotherapy) with MCI/state council registration for physiotherapist roles; MPT in the relevant specialty (Orthopaedics, Neurology, Sports, Paediatrics, Cardiopulmonary) for specialist roles; BOT (Bachelor of Occupational Therapy) for OT roles; B.Sc. Speech and Language Pathology for speech therapist roles; Diploma in Physiotherapy or Rehab Technician Certificate for assistant roles; dry needling certification; Kinesio Taping certification; electrotherapy equipment operation certificate; BLS (Basic Life Support)
