- Identify and develop new business opportunities for specialty chemical products across industrial and institutional customer segments
- Manage and grow key accounts by building relationships with senior procurement, technical, and manufacturing stakeholders
- Lead techno-commercial negotiations, proposal preparation, and contract finalization for large customer accounts
- Coordinate with R and D and production teams to support new product launches and customer trials
- Analyse market segments, competitor activity, and pricing intelligence to inform business strategy
- Maintain CRM pipeline and provide regular business development reports to leadership
- Develop and manage channel partners, distributor networks, or agent relationships in assigned markets
🎓 Qualifications and Requirements
- MBA (Marketing or Business) or B.E. Chemical Engineering with an MBA; B.E. with strong chemical sales track record also considered
- 4-10 years of B2B business development or key account management experience in specialty chemicals, lubricants, or coatings
- Demonstrated success in growing revenue from industrial or institutional chemical customers
- Strong techno-commercial negotiation and proposal writing skills
- Experience in coordinating customer product trials with R and D and production teams
- Proficiency in CRM tools and structured pipeline management with clear reporting discipline
- Willingness to travel pan-India for key account visits and business development activities
- Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Chennai.
