📌 Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and troubleshoot HT and LT electrical panels, switchgear, and distribution systems across the chemical plant
- Service motors, VFDs, and soft starters for pumps, agitators, and compressors used in chemical production
- Conduct preventive maintenance of transformers, DG sets, and switchgear as per statutory schedule
- Implement and audit earthing, lightning protection, and electrical safety systems across plant buildings
- Enforce electrical LOTO and work permit procedures for all maintenance and shutdown activities
- Investigate electrical breakdowns and power outages to minimise production downtime
- Coordinate with CEIG and electrical inspectorate for statutory inspections, licences, and renewals
🎓 Qualifications and Requirements
- B.E. or Diploma in Electrical Engineering from an AICTE-recognised institution
- 1-5 years of electrical maintenance experience in a chemical, petrochemical, or process industry plant
- Hands-on experience maintaining HT/LT panels, transformers, and industrial motors and drives
- Knowledge of VFD and soft starter troubleshooting for chemical plant rotating equipment
- Familiarity with electrical safety standards, LOTO procedures, and permit-to-work systems
- Understanding of CEIG regulations and statutory electrical inspection requirements in Tamil Nadu
- Ability to respond promptly to electrical breakdowns including night and holiday call-outs
- Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Chennai.
