📌 Key Responsibilities

• Set up and optimise HPDC or gravity die casting machine parameters including injection speed, pressure, temperature, and cycle time
• Monitor casting quality for defects such as porosity, cold shuts, misruns, and shrinkage and adjust process parameters
• Coordinate die maintenance activities including die polishing, insert replacement, and cooling channel cleaning
• Control alloy melt quality including degassing, flux treatment, and spectrometer analysis of composition
• Investigate casting rejection root causes and implement corrective actions using PFMEA and 8D tools
• Maintain process parameter records, shift reports, and die life tracking logs
• Support new die trials, first-article inspection, and PPAP activities for customer approvals

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• Which die casting process have you worked on - HPDC, gravity, or low-pressure die casting?
• What casting defects have you diagnosed and resolved in production?
• Have you set process parameters on a die casting machine and optimised cycle time?
• How do you control alloy melt quality and prevent porosity in castings?
• Have you coordinated die maintenance and tracked die life and repairs?
• Have you conducted PFMEA or prepared control plans for die casting processes?
• What PPAP or customer approval documentation have you prepared for castings?
