📌 Key Responsibilities

• Conduct daily safety inspections of shopfloor, furnace areas, chemical storage, and material handling zones
• Carry out hazard identification and risk assessment (HIRA) for all production and maintenance activities
• Enforce PPE compliance for furnace operators, welders, machinists, and maintenance staff
• Investigate accidents, near-misses, and unsafe conditions and issue corrective action reports
• Organise toolbox talks, safety induction programmes, and fire drill exercises for all plant employees
• Manage fire suppression systems, emergency eyewash stations, and first aid kits through regular inspection
• Liaise with TNPCB, factory inspectorate, and PESO for statutory compliance and permit renewals

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• Have you conducted HIRA for furnace operations, chemical handling, or metal fabrication activities?
• How do you enforce PPE compliance when workers resist wearing protective equipment?
• What accident investigation methodology have you used - RCFA, 5-Why, or fault tree?
• Have you coordinated a factory inspectorate or TNPCB inspection visit?
• Are you familiar with PESO licensing for pressure vessels or compressed gas storage?
• Have you conducted fire drill and emergency evacuation exercises in a manufacturing plant?
• What EHS documentation and records do you maintain for statutory compliance?
