📌 Key Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor EHS compliance across auto plant operations as per Factories Act, Tamil Nadu rules, and ISO 45001
• Conduct hazard identification and risk assessments for all shop floor activities
• Manage permit-to-work system for high-risk activities including hot work, confined space, and work at height
• Coordinate monthly fire and emergency mock drills and maintain drill records
• Investigate accidents and near misses and prepare investigation reports with corrective actions
• Conduct EHS induction and periodic safety training for all plant employees and contractors
• Monitor effluent treatment plant, hazardous waste disposal, and air emission compliance
• Prepare and submit statutory EHS returns to TNPCB, factory inspectorate, and other authorities

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• Do you hold a NEBOSH International General Certificate or IOSH Managing Safely certification?
• Are you familiar with Factories Act provisions and Tamil Nadu factory rules applicable to auto plants?
• Have you conducted hazard identification and risk assessments on a manufacturing shop floor?
• Do you have experience managing permit-to-work systems for high-risk activities?
• Have you investigated accidents or near misses and prepared formal investigation reports?
• Are you familiar with effluent treatment plant operations and hazardous waste disposal requirements?
• Have you delivered EHS training and safety inductions to shop floor workers and contractors?
• Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Chennai.
