📌 Key Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain EHS management systems at the plastic or rubber manufacturing plant in line with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 requirements
• Conduct daily safety walk-throughs to identify unsafe acts and unsafe conditions and close findings promptly
• Manage chemical safety for plastic additives, rubber chemicals, solvents, and mould release agents using SDS/MSDS documentation
• Organise fire safety inspections, fire extinguisher maintenance, fire drill programmes, and emergency evacuation drills
• Investigate near-miss incidents and accidents using root cause analysis methods and implement corrective measures
• Ensure legal compliance with the Factories Act, PCB norms for plastic waste and effluent, and noise and chemical exposure regulations
• Train workers on PPE usage, chemical handling, fire safety, and emergency response through regular safety toolbox talks

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• How do you conduct a chemical hazard assessment for a rubber vulcanisation chemical such as MBTS or sulphur?
• What are the key EHS legal requirements under the Factories Act that apply to a plastic injection moulding plant?
• How do you organise and document a fire drill at a 200-worker plastic manufacturing plant?
• Describe the steps you follow to investigate a near-miss incident in a moulding shop.
• What PPE is required for workers handling rubber solvents and mould release agents on the shop floor?
• How do you manage plastic scrap waste disposal in compliance with PCB regulations in Tamil Nadu?
• Have you conducted an EHS audit in a chemical or manufacturing plant environment?
• Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Chennai.
