📌 Key Responsibilities

• Design injection moulds and compression moulds using CATIA V5, SolidWorks, or NX Mold Wizard
• Create core and cavity splits, parting surface definitions, and undercut solutions such as sliders and lifters
• Design ejector systems including ejector pin layouts, sleeve ejectors, and stripper plates
• Lay out hot runner or cold runner systems and specify gate types and locations with process engineer input
• Prepare detailed 2D assembly drawings and component drawings with GD and T for mould manufacturing
• Participate in design reviews with manufacturing, toolroom, and customer quality teams before mould fabrication
• Support mould trials and implement design modifications based on trial results and defect analysis

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• How do you determine the parting line and parting surface for a complex plastic component with undercuts?
• In NX Mold Wizard or CATIA Mould Design, how do you create a slider for a side undercut feature?
• What criteria do you use when deciding between a hot runner and a cold runner system for a new mould?
• How do you calculate the number of ejector pins required and check for adequate ejector force?
• Have you designed a family mould or multi-cavity mould with balanced runner layouts?
• How do you check draft angles on a moulded part CAD model before beginning core and cavity work?
• What GD and T callouts do you typically specify on mould component drawings for core and cavity fits?
• Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Chennai.
