📌 Key Responsibilities

• Inspect and maintain injection moulds and compression moulds during planned preventive maintenance intervals
• Repair mould defects such as damaged cores, worn cavities, broken ejector pins, and gate erosion
• Polish mould cavities to the required surface finish using manual and power polishing tools
• Disassemble and reassemble moulds safely following dismantling procedures and part identification records
• Clean runner systems, vents, and cooling channels to remove residue and scale buildup
• Maintain a mould maintenance log recording work done, parts replaced, and mould condition observations
• Coordinate with the production team to plan mould pull schedules to minimise production downtime

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• Have you maintained and repaired injection moulds including core and cavity work?
• How do you replace a broken ejector pin in an injection mould?
• What polishing grades do you use for achieving different surface finishes on mould cavities?
• How do you clean blocked cooling channels in a multi-cavity injection mould?
• Have you used a surface grinder or EDM machine for mould repair work?
• How do you identify and record mould wear during preventive maintenance inspection?
• Can you describe the steps to safely disassemble a 2-plate injection mould?
• Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Chennai.
