📌 Key Responsibilities

• Operate plastic or rubber extrusion lines to produce profiles, pipes, tubes, seals, or weatherstrips
• Set and monitor temperature zones across the barrel and die for the specified material and profile
• Adjust screw speed and haul-off speed to maintain dimensional tolerances on extruded products
• Perform die changeovers and line startup purging following standard operating procedures
• Measure extruded profile dimensions using gauges and calipers and compare against product drawings
• Load and dry raw material pellets or rubber compound strips before feeding to the extruder hopper
• Record temperature, speed, and dimensional measurement data in production logs each shift

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• Have you operated a single-screw or twin-screw plastic extruder or rubber extruder?
• How do you set temperature zones on an extrusion barrel for a polypropylene profile?
• What steps do you follow when changing a die on a plastic extrusion line?
• How do you check extruded profile dimensions using calipers or a profile projector?
• What would you do if the extruded product shows surface roughness or gels?
• Have you dried hygroscopic materials such as nylon or ABS before extrusion?
• How do you perform a line purge when changing from one material to another?
• Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Chennai.
