- Optimise slot-pole combinations, winding configurations, and magnet grades to meet efficiency and torque density targets
- Generate motor efficiency maps and validate against vehicle-level performance requirements on the drive cycle
- Perform thermal modelling of motor windings and housing to ensure reliable operation under peak and continuous load
- Coordinate motor prototype builds and conduct dynamometer testing to validate design predictions
- Work with power electronics team to match motor back-EMF and inductance parameters to inverter design
- Maintain motor design documentation, FEA reports, and DFMEA for each development programme
