📌 Key Responsibilities

• Design and integrate EV drivetrain systems including motor, gearbox, differential, and driveshaft for two-wheeler and four-wheeler platforms
• Perform vehicle performance simulations to verify range, gradeability, and acceleration targets on standard drive cycles
• Calibrate regenerative braking torque maps in collaboration with the VCU and BMS engineering teams
• Conduct NVH analysis of EV drivetrains and implement countermeasures to meet noise and vibration targets
• Support prototype builds and vehicle-level testing including cold soak, hot environment, and high-altitude testing
• Work with motor and power electronics suppliers to define interface specifications and validate component performance
• Generate drivetrain validation reports, DVP matrices, and homologation technical files for regulatory submissions

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• How do you size a PMSM motor for a 150 cc equivalent electric two-wheeler in terms of peak torque and continuous power?
• Explain the role of the gearbox in an EV drivetrain and when a single-speed reduction is preferred over a two-speed transmission
• How do you simulate vehicle range on the MIDC or WMTC drive cycle?
• What causes NVH issues in EV drivetrains and how are they different from ICE drivetrain noise?
• How does regenerative braking torque interact with the friction braking system in a blended braking strategy?
• What parameters do you define in a DVP matrix for EV powertrain validation?
• Describe the process of homologating an EV powertrain in India under AIS 038 or AIS 156 regulations
• Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Chennai.
