📌 Key Responsibilities

• Identify and prospect new exporter and importer clients in Chennai's industrial and trade zones for ocean and air freight forwarding business
• Prepare and present freight rate quotations for FCL, LCL, and air freight shipments using the company's rate card and spot rates from shipping lines and airlines
• Follow up on rate inquiries, outstanding proposals, and trial shipment requests from new and existing prospects in the sales pipeline
• Maintain CRM records for all prospect interactions, quote submissions, conversion rates, and won or lost business with reasons
• Coordinate with the pricing team to obtain competitive spot rates for high-value tenders or large-volume client accounts
• Achieve monthly freight sales targets measured in TEUs for ocean freight and chargeable weight for air freight bookings
• Build relationships with local buying houses, trading companies, and manufacturing exporters to increase freight volume and wallet share
• Report daily sales activity including calls made, visits completed, quotes submitted, and new accounts opened to the sales manager

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• Graduate degree from a recognized institution in any stream
• 0 - 3 Years of experience in freight sales, logistics sales, or trade marketing; freshers with strong communication and freight knowledge are considered
• Understanding of ocean freight (FCL and LCL) and air freight rate structures, IncoTerms 2020, and basic freight quotation preparation
• Ability to identify and approach exporter and importer clients in Chennai's industrial zones for freight forwarding business
• Good communication skills in Tamil and English for client prospecting, rate presentation, and follow-up
• Familiarity with CRM tools for tracking sales pipeline, recording interactions, and monitoring conversion metrics
• Willingness to travel within Chennai industrial zones including MEPZ, Manali, Ambattur, Sriperumbudur, and Oragadam for client visits
• Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Chennai.
