📌 Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and troubleshoot DCS, PLC, and SCADA systems in the chemical manufacturing plant
- Calibrate field instruments including pressure, temperature, flow, and level transmitters as per calibration schedule
- Configure and test control loops, PID parameters, and DCS graphics for process optimisation
- Maintain and service safety instrumented systems (SIS) and verify SIL performance as per functional safety plan
- Execute preventive maintenance on control valves, analysers, and on-line instrument systems
- Prepare and maintain loop diagrams, instrument index, calibration certificates, and as-built documentation
- Coordinate with process engineers and operators during plant startup, shutdown, and commissioning activities
🎓 Qualifications and Requirements
- B.E. in Electronics and Instrumentation (E and I) or ECE from a recognised institution
- 1-5 years of instrumentation maintenance experience in a chemical, petrochemical, or process industry plant
- Hands-on experience with DCS platforms such as Honeywell Experion, ABB 800xA, or Yokogawa CENTUM
- Proficiency in PLC programming (ladder logic) and SCADA configuration for chemical plant applications
- Knowledge of HART protocol, Foundation Fieldbus, and Profibus communication standards
- Experience in SIS maintenance and SIL verification as per IEC 61511 requirements is preferred
- Good documentation skills for maintaining calibration records, loop diagrams, and maintenance reports
- Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Chennai.
