📌 Key Responsibilities
- Plan and execute preventive and breakdown maintenance of pumps, compressors, agitators, and other rotating equipment
- Conduct vibration analysis and condition monitoring of critical rotating machinery
- Maintain mechanical seals, gearboxes, and couplings in chemical plant rotating equipment
- Plan and coordinate annual plant shutdowns, including preparation of shutdown scope, spares, and contractor mobilisation
- Maintain plant piping integrity through regular inspection, thickness measurement, and corrosion monitoring
- Operate computerised maintenance management system (CMMS) for work order management and maintenance history
- Coordinate with engineering and procurement for spare parts sourcing and capital spares management
🎓 Qualifications and Requirements
- B.E. or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from an AICTE-recognised institution
- 1-5 years of maintenance engineering experience in a chemical, petrochemical, or heavy industry plant
- Hands-on experience in overhauling and maintaining centrifugal pumps, agitators, and compressors
- Knowledge of mechanical seal types, selection, and maintenance for chemical service applications
- Familiarity with vibration analysis techniques and condition monitoring tools
- Experience with shutdown planning, contractor management, and capital spares management
- Working knowledge of CMMS software such as SAP PM, Maximo, or equivalent for maintenance tracking
- Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Chennai.
