📌 Key Responsibilities

• Operate and control auto body paint line processes including pre-treatment, ED coating, primer, and topcoat
• Monitor and maintain paint bath parameters such as solids content, pH, conductivity, and bath temperature
• Inspect painted surfaces for defects including fish eye, sag, orange peel, and colour mismatch
• Measure and record dry film thickness at specified intervals
• Investigate paint defects and lead root cause analysis with corrective actions
• Coordinate with chemical supplier for bath replenishment and process optimization
• Maintain effluent treatment plant records and ensure EHS compliance in paint shop operations

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• Do you have experience working in an auto body paint shop or industrial paint line?
• Are you familiar with electro-deposition (ED) coating process parameters and bath control?
• Can you identify and analyse common paint defects such as fish eye, sag, or orange peel?
• Do you have experience measuring and recording dry film thickness using thickness gauges?
• Are you familiar with effluent treatment plant operations and EHS compliance in a paint shop?
• Have you worked with chemical suppliers for paint bath management and process optimization?
• Do you have knowledge of corrosion protection requirements and test methods for automotive components?
• Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Chennai.
