📌 Key Responsibilities

• Own the full plant P and L for a plastic or rubber component manufacturing unit with 100 to 500 employees
• Drive production planning, capacity utilisation, OEE improvement, and on-time delivery performance across all moulding and processing lines
• Lead the IATF 16949 or ISO 9001 quality management system at the plant level and represent the plant in customer and third-party audits
• Manage plant budgets including labour, material, maintenance, and overhead costs and report monthly performance to company leadership
• Ensure full EHS legal compliance with Factories Act, TNPCB, and fire safety regulations and lead the plant safety culture
• Build and develop the plant leadership team including production supervisors, quality engineers, and maintenance supervisors
• Interface directly with OEM customer procurement, quality, and logistics teams for commercial negotiations and delivery performance reviews

• How do you manage a plastic plant's P and L when raw material polymer prices spike by 15 percent mid-year?
• Describe your approach to preparing a plant for a customer IATF 16949 audit with two weeks' notice.
• How do you improve OEE from 65 percent to 80 percent across a 20-machine injection moulding plant over 6 months?
• What strategy do you use to manage labour productivity and attendance in a 3-shift 400-worker plastic plant?
• How do you handle a quality escape where defective plastic components have reached an OEM assembly line?
• Describe a capital investment decision you made for a plastic plant and how you justified the ROI to management.
• How do you manage vendor relationships for polymer raw materials when there are supply shortages in the market?
• Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Chennai.
