📌 Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop DC-DC converters, on-board chargers, and motor inverters for EV applications using SiC and GaN power devices
• Simulate power converter topologies in SPICE or PSIM and validate efficiency and transient performance
• Design gate driver circuits, protection schemes, and soft-start sequences for power modules
• Conduct EMI and EMC pre-compliance testing and implement filter designs to meet CISPR and AIS standards
• Perform thermal design of power modules including heatsink selection, TIM specification, and junction temperature analysis
• Coordinate PCB layout reviews to ensure correct power routing, thermal management, and EMC compliance
• Support prototype builds, hardware bring-up, and fault analysis during development and vehicle integration testing

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• Explain the design trade-offs between a Phase-Shifted Full Bridge and an LLC resonant converter for an EV on-board charger
• How do you select between SiC MOSFET and GaN HEMT for a 400 V DC-DC converter in an EV?
• Describe the process of conducting an EMI pre-compliance test on an EV power converter
• How do you calculate and manage thermal resistance from junction to ambient in a power module?
