📌 Key Responsibilities

• Develop and review Process Flow Diagrams (PFD) and Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P and ID)
• Perform heat and material balance calculations for new and existing chemical processes
• Run process simulations using Aspen Plus, HYSYS, or equivalent simulation software
• Participate in HAZOP studies and implement recommendations from process safety reviews
• Identify bottlenecks in existing chemical processes and recommend optimisation measures
• Prepare process design basis documents and engineering specifications for equipment
• Support commissioning and startup of new chemical plant units and process modifications

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• B.E. or B.Tech. in Chemical Engineering from an AICTE-recognised institution
• 1-5 years of experience in chemical process engineering or plant engineering roles
• Proficiency in process simulation software such as Aspen Plus or HYSYS is preferred
• Working knowledge of PFD and P and ID preparation and review standards
• Understanding of HAZOP methodology and process safety management principles
• Ability to perform heat and material balance calculations and equipment sizing
• Good communication skills for preparing engineering documents and presenting to project teams
• Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Chennai.
