📌 Key Responsibilities

• Develop and optimise injection moulding process parameters including injection speed, pressure, hold time, cooling time, and melt temperature
• Conduct systematic root cause analysis for moulding defects such as warpage, sink marks, flash, jetting, and weld lines
• Use Moldflow or similar mould flow simulation software to validate gate location and process settings before mould trials
• Establish and document standard process sheets for each mould and material combination in production
• Apply DOE and SPC techniques to improve process capability and reduce scrap and rework rates
• Support new mould trials, first article inspections, and process validation for new product introductions
• Train machine operators on process parameters and standard operating procedures for assigned moulds

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• How do you troubleshoot warpage in an injection moulded PP component - what parameters do you investigate first?
• Have you used Moldflow or equivalent simulation software to predict sink and flow patterns before a mould trial?
• Explain how you would set up a DOE to optimise hold pressure and hold time for a multi-cavity mould.
• What causes jetting in injection moulding and how do you eliminate it?
• How do you calculate and improve OEE for an injection moulding machine in a 3-shift operation?
• Have you written process sheets and standard parameter documentation for a moulding process?
• How do you establish a control plan for a new injection moulded automotive plastic component?
• Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Chennai.
