📌 Key Responsibilities

• Plan and monitor daily and weekly production schedules for injection moulding, extrusion, or rubber moulding lines
• Calculate and track Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) for each machine and implement improvement actions
• Coordinate raw material availability with the stores and supply chain teams to prevent production stoppages
• Monitor shift production output, scrap rates, and machine downtime and report daily MIS to the plant manager
• Drive 5S, visual management, and lean manufacturing practices on the production floor
• Participate in root cause analysis for production shortfalls, machine breakdowns, and quality escapes
• Coordinate with the maintenance team for planned preventive maintenance scheduling without disrupting production commitments

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• How do you calculate OEE for an injection moulding machine and what actions improve each OEE component?
• Describe your approach to production scheduling when two urgent customer orders share the same machine.
• How do you apply 5S principles on an injection moulding or extrusion production floor?
• What data do you include in a daily production MIS report for a plastic component manufacturing plant?
• How do you balance production capacity across 10 injection moulding machines of different tonnages?
• Have you implemented any lean manufacturing initiative on a plastic production line and what was the result?
• How do you coordinate with the maintenance team to schedule preventive maintenance without stopping customer deliveries?
• Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Chennai.
