📌 Key Responsibilities

• Supervise chemical plant shift operations and manage a team of plant operators and helpers
• Monitor batch production progress against schedule and take corrective action for deviations
• Ensure all plant operators comply with SOPs, work permits, PPE requirements, and safety rules
• Review and sign off on Batch Manufacturing Records and shift production logs
• Coordinate with QC lab for timely in-process sampling, testing, and batch release approvals
• Monitor yield, production throughput, and OEE metrics and report to plant management
• Lead toolbox talks and conduct shift-level safety briefings before each production campaign

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• Diploma or B.E. in Chemical Engineering with 2-7 years of chemical plant production experience
• Demonstrated experience in shift supervision and management of plant operator teams
• Strong knowledge of batch chemical production processes including DCS operation and field activities
• Familiarity with Batch Manufacturing Record preparation, SOP compliance, and yield calculation
• Understanding of ISO 9001 production quality requirements and GMP practices if applicable
• Good leadership and communication skills for managing operators and coordinating with support functions
• Ability to work in rotating shifts including nights and holidays as required by plant operations
• Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Chennai.
