📌 Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve the IATF 16949 quality management system for EV component manufacturing and assembly operations
• Lead PPAP submissions for new EV parts including dimensional reports, MSA studies, and process capability analysis
• Develop and update control plans and process FMEAs for battery pack assembly, motor assembly, and EV component machining lines
• Conduct incoming quality inspection of battery cells, BMS boards, motors, and EV structural components
• Manage customer complaint resolution using 8D problem solving methodology and issue corrective action and preventive action plans
• Perform supplier audits and process audits at EV component vendors in Chennai and surrounding areas
• Analyse SPC data and quality metrics to identify process drift and initiate improvement actions

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• What are the PPAP submission levels and what documents are required in a full Level 3 PPAP package for an EV battery component?
• How do you develop a control plan for a battery pack assembly process?
• Explain the difference between Type 1, Type 2, and Type 3 gauge R and R studies
• How do you conduct an IATF 16949 internal audit and what common non-conformances do you look for?
• Describe how you would use 8D to resolve a customer complaint about battery pack dimensional deviation
• What Cpk targets do you apply for critical EV component characteristics and why?
• How do you qualify an incoming EV cell or BMS supplier through PPAP and audit?
• Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Chennai.
