📌 Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain APQP documentation including control plans, PFMEAs, and process flow diagrams for new plastic part launches
• Prepare and submit PPAP packages (all 5 elements) for customer approval of new and revised plastic components
• Conduct MSA studies including gauge R and R for dimensional measurement systems used in production
• Monitor production quality using SPC, track Cpk and Ppk values, and initiate corrective actions for out-of-control processes
• Handle customer complaints by performing 8D root cause analysis and implementing permanent corrective actions
• Conduct internal quality audits against IATF 16949 requirements and manage audit findings to closure
• Interface with OEM customer quality engineers during on-site audits, product approvals, and quality review meetings

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• What are the 5 elements of a PPAP submission and which requires dimensional measurement results from 30 samples?
• How do you develop a control plan for an injection moulded automotive plastic bracket - what columns do you include?
• Explain the difference between Cpk and Ppk and when each is used in automotive plastic component quality control.
• How do you conduct a gauge R and R study and what acceptance criteria do you use for the repeatability and reproducibility percentage?
• Have you written an 8D report for a customer complaint on a plastic component - describe the structure and D5 in particular.
• What is the purpose of a PFMEA and how is it linked to the control plan in an IATF 16949 system?
• How do you manage customer-specific requirements (CSRs) for multiple OEM customers in an IATF 16949-certified plastic plant?
• Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Chennai.
