📌 Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and submit chemical product registrations and notifications under REACH, TSCA, and BIS as applicable
- Author and update Safety Data Sheets (SDS) in GHS format for domestic and export markets
- Coordinate with CPCB, State Pollution Control Board, and local Factory Inspectorate for statutory compliance and renewal of consents
- Manage hazardous waste manifests and returns under Hazardous Waste Management Rules
- Support import and export regulatory documentation including customs classification and exemption certificates
- Track changes in chemical regulations in India and key export markets and advise internal teams
- Liaise with third-party testing labs and certifying bodies for product compliance testing and certification
🎓 Qualifications and Requirements
- B.Sc. or M.Sc. Chemistry with interest in chemical regulatory compliance and product stewardship
- 0-4 years of experience in regulatory affairs, product registration, or EHS compliance in a chemical company
- Knowledge of REACH regulation, TSCA Chemical Substance Inventory, and BIS certification processes
- Familiarity with GHS SDS authoring requirements and chemical labelling under Indian regulations
- Understanding of CPCB and State Pollution Control Board consent conditions and hazardous waste manifest procedures
- Proficiency in English for preparing regulatory submissions and correspondence with authorities
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple compliance deadlines simultaneously
- Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Chennai.
