• Process purchase orders for plastic raw materials including polymer pellets, masterbatches, additives, and rubber compounds
• Coordinate with approved raw material vendors for timely delivery, price negotiation, and quality documentation
• Monitor inventory levels of raw materials, finished goods, and packing materials and raise replenishment requests to prevent stockouts
• Use ERP or MRP systems to align raw material requirements with production schedules and customer delivery plans
• Manage inbound logistics coordination including transport booking, gate entry, and GRN (Goods Receipt Note) processing
• Handle raw material rejection and return cases by coordinating with the quality team and vendor for replacement or credit
• Maintain procurement records, vendor performance data, and monthly inventory reconciliation reports

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• How do you calculate the reorder point for a polymer raw material with a 7-day lead time and 30 days of average consumption?
• Have you used ERP software such as SAP or Tally for purchase order processing and inventory tracking?
• How do you coordinate with a raw material vendor to resolve a short delivery or quality rejection issue?
• What documents do you check when receiving a batch of polymer raw material at the plant gate?
• How do you plan raw material procurement requirements based on a customer delivery schedule?
• Have you managed plastic masterbatch or additive procurement - what challenges did you encounter?
• How do you track vendor performance and what metrics do you report to your manager?
• Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Chennai.
