📌 Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate domestic and export shipments of hazardous chemicals in compliance with ADR, IATA, and IMDG regulations
- Prepare and verify DGFT import and export documentation including shipping bills and bills of lading
- Source and evaluate chemical raw material vendors and negotiate rates for routine consumables
- Raise and track purchase orders through ERP system and follow up with vendors on delivery timelines
- Monitor raw material inventory levels and coordinate with production planning for replenishment
- Liaise with CHA, freight forwarders, and transporters for timely customs clearance and delivery
- Maintain compliance records for hazmat transport, statutory consents, and supplier qualification
🎓 Qualifications and Requirements
- Graduate in any discipline; B.Sc. Chemistry, B.Com., or logistics management qualification preferred
- 0-3 years of experience in supply chain, logistics, or purchase functions in a chemical or manufacturing company
- Knowledge of hazardous chemical shipping regulations including IMDG, IATA, and road transport rules
- Familiarity with DGFT import and export procedures and customs documentation for chemicals
- Working knowledge of ERP purchase and inventory modules such as SAP MM or Tally ERP
- Good coordination and communication skills for managing multiple vendors and logistics partners
- Attention to detail for maintaining accurate documentation and compliance records
- Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Chennai.
