📌 Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and control electroplating bath parameters including pH, temperature, current density, and additive concentrations
• Conduct bath analysis and make chemical additions to maintain plating solution within specification
• Inspect plated and coated components for thickness, adhesion, corrosion resistance, and appearance
• Perform or oversee salt spray testing, cross-hatch adhesion tests, and thickness measurement by XRF
• Manage waste treatment plant operations including pH neutralisation, heavy metal precipitation, and ETP compliance
• Investigate coating defects such as blistering, pitting, burning, and poor adhesion and implement corrective actions
• Maintain process logs, bath chemistry records, and ETP compliance documentation for regulatory audits

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• Which plating processes have you operated - zinc, nickel, chrome, or copper plating?
• How do you monitor and correct a zinc plating bath that is out of specification?
• Have you conducted salt spray testing and what test durations have you worked with?
• How do you handle ETP compliance and effluent monitoring in a plating plant?
• Are you familiar with RoHS restrictions on hexavalent chrome and alternative processes?
• Have you investigated plating defects such as burning, pitting, or poor coverage?
• Have you prepared documentation for CPCB or TNPCB environmental compliance inspections?
