📌 Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop press tools, dies, moulds, jigs, and fixtures for auto component production
• Prepare tooling layouts and detailed drawings using AutoCAD or CATIA
• Select appropriate tool steel grades and cutting tool materials
• Coordinate tool tryouts, first-off buyoffs, and design modifications
• Maintain tooling history cards, maintenance schedules, and repair logs
• Estimate tooling cost and lead time for new program launches
• Support APQP tooling deliverables and PPAP submission timelines

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• Do you have hands-on experience designing press tools, dies, moulds, or jigs and fixtures for auto components?
• Are you proficient in AutoCAD or CATIA V5 for tooling layouts and detail drawings?
• Do you have knowledge of tool steel grades and heat treatment for tooling applications?
• Have you conducted tool tryouts and coordinated buyoff activities?
• Are you familiar with APQP tooling milestones and PPAP tooling requirements?
• Can you prepare tooling cost estimates and lead time schedules?
• Do you have experience maintaining tooling history cards and preventive maintenance records?
• Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Chennai.
