📌 Key Responsibilities

• Define and own the engineering strategy, technology roadmap, and capability investment plan for the private aerospace division
• Lead multi-site engineering teams covering design, stress, manufacturing engineering, quality, tooling, and systems engineering
• Drive AS9100 and NADCAP quality system performance and own the division's regulatory certification strategy with DGCA and EASA
• Build and manage strategic OEM and tier-1 customer relationships and lead business development for new programme capture
• Own the division P and L for engineering operations and drive cost, schedule, and quality performance across all programmes
• Assess M and A, joint venture, and technology partnership opportunities to strengthen the division's aerospace capabilities
• Develop senior engineering leadership talent and build succession plans for critical programme and functional manager roles

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• Do you have a B.E. and ideally an MBA with at least 15 years of aerospace engineering leadership experience including division or BU P and L ownership?
• Have you led multi-site engineering organisations covering design, stress, manufacturing, quality, and systems engineering in a private aerospace company?
• Are you experienced in building and managing strategic relationships with OEM aerospace customers and leading bid and programme capture activities?
• Do you have a track record of driving AS9100 and NADCAP quality system performance and managing DGCA or EASA regulatory certification programmes?
• Have you defined technology roadmaps and made capital investment decisions to build new aerospace engineering capabilities?
• Are you experienced in assessing aerospace M and A, joint ventures, or technology partnerships and presenting investment cases to a board?
• Do you have demonstrated success in developing senior engineering leadership talent and building succession pipelines in a private aerospace organisation?
• Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Chennai.
