📌 Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic and operational leadership for all chemical manufacturing plants within the organisation
- Own manufacturing P and L including cost, yield, capex, and sustainability performance metrics
- Define and implement manufacturing strategy aligned with business growth and market expansion plans
- Lead large-scale capex projects including greenfield plant commissioning and technology upgrades
- Ensure group-wide compliance with process safety, environmental, and occupational health standards
- Report manufacturing performance, risk, and strategic initiatives to the board, investors, and corporate leadership
- Build and develop a high-performance manufacturing leadership team across multiple plants and locations
🎓 Qualifications and Requirements
- B.E. Chemical Engineering with an MBA in Operations or General Management from a recognised institution
- 15-28 years of progressive experience in chemical manufacturing with at least 5 years in a multi-plant or VP-level leadership role
- Demonstrated ownership of large manufacturing P and L including cost, yield, and capex delivery
- Strong track record in operational excellence, lean manufacturing, and large capital project execution
- In-depth knowledge of process safety management, PSM regulations, and ISO 14001/45001 group-level implementation
- Excellent stakeholder management skills for board reporting, investor engagement, and government liaison
- Proven ability to build, develop, and retain senior manufacturing leadership talent across multiple sites
- Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Chennai.
