📌 Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable backend APIs for the company's learning platform covering user management, course catalog, progress tracking, assessment, and payment flows.
• Build and maintain database schemas in PostgreSQL or MySQL optimised for learner data, content metadata, and assessment result storage.
• Implement authentication and authorisation systems including JWT token management, role-based access control, and OAuth integrations for social login.
• Integrate with video CDN providers and streaming platforms to manage content upload, transcoding triggers, and secure video playback URL generation.
• Develop caching layers using Redis to optimise API response times for high-traffic endpoints such as course catalog browsing and learner dashboard loading.
• Build background job processing systems for sending notifications, generating certificates, processing payment webhooks, and syncing learner analytics data.
• Collaborate with mobile and web frontend developers to define API contracts, handle versioning, and resolve integration issues during feature delivery sprints.

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• B.E. or B.Tech in Computer Science or IT with one to five years of backend development experience in Node.js, Python Django/FastAPI, or Java Spring Boot.
• Strong understanding of RESTful API design principles, HTTP protocol, and API security best practices.
• Hands-on experience with relational database design and query optimisation in PostgreSQL or MySQL.
• Familiarity with Redis or equivalent in-memory caching solutions for improving API performance at scale.
• Experience with background job queuing systems such as Celery, Bull, or Spring Batch for async processing workflows.
• Understanding of cloud storage and CDN concepts for managing video content assets and static file delivery at scale.
• Solid debugging and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate production issues using logs, traces, and database query analysis.
• Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Coimbatore.
