📌 Key Responsibilities

• Manage all operations, sales, and financial performance of the travel agency branch to meet P and L targets.
• Lead and motivate the branch team including sales consultants, ticketing executives, and visa staff.
• Develop new business from walk-in customers, corporate accounts, and community networks in the branch catchment.
• Manage relationships with airline GSAs, hotel partners, and visa service providers relevant to the branch.
• Monitor branch revenue, expenses, and profitability monthly and implement corrective actions to meet targets.
• Recruit, onboard, and performance-manage branch staff with regular reviews and development coaching.
• Ensure branch compliance with IATA regulations, FEMA forex norms, and internal agency audit standards.

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• Graduate in any discipline or BHM from a recognised institute; MBA in Marketing or Tourism is an advantage.
• 4 to 10 years of travel industry experience with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
• Demonstrated experience in travel agency sales, operations management, and team leadership.
• Understanding of branch P and L, revenue management, cost control, and business development in the travel sector.
• Knowledge of IATA compliance, FEMA forex regulations, and travel agency statutory requirements.
• Strong customer relationship management and local business development skills for the branch catchment area.
• Tamil and English communication skills for managing staff, handling corporate clients, and vendor negotiations.
• Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Coimbatore.

IATA Diploma or IATA Fares and Ticketing Foundation for airline ticketing roles; GDS (Amadeus, Galileo, or Sabre) training certification for ticketing and reservations staff; Graduate or Diploma in Tourism for travel consultant and operations roles; knowledge of Schengen, UK, US, and Canada visa documentation for visa assistance roles; TAAI (Travel Agents Association of India) membership awareness; foreign exchange and forex documentation knowledge for international travel roles; Tamil and English communication for customer-facing roles; knowledge of Tamil Nadu and South India pilgrimage circuits for domestic tour roles
