📌 Key Responsibilities

• Own the category PandL for assigned electronics product categories including sales, margin, and inventory turnover targets
• Manage vendor relationships for assigned categories including price negotiations, contract renewals, and scheme agreements
• Plan product assortment, stock depth, and range width to optimise category appeal and inventory efficiency
• Design and implement category promotional pricing, trade schemes, and consumer offer structures
• Conduct regular competitor price benchmarking to ensure competitive pricing across key product lines
• Coordinate planogram and display planning for category shelf space allocation across the retail network
• Analyse category sell-through data, slow-moving inventory, and trend shifts to drive buying decisions

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• MBA in Marketing, Retail Management, or Business Administration from a recognised institution
• Four to ten years of experience in electronics or consumer durables category management, buying, or product management
• Strong vendor negotiation skills and experience managing supplier contracts and trade schemes
• Analytical ability to interpret category sales data, margin reports, and inventory turnover metrics
• Good understanding of electronics product trends, technology cycles, and consumer demand patterns
• Experience with planogram planning and retail floor space optimisation is an advantage
• Proficiency in category management tools, ERP buying modules, and MS Excel for data analysis
• Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Coimbatore.
