📌 Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for new residential project phases covering civil, MEP, and finishing works.
• Conduct quantity take-offs from architectural and structural drawings for all project components.
• Analyse market rates for materials and labour to prepare accurate budgeted cost per square foot.
• Prepare tender documents and BOQ for inviting subcontractor bids on civil and finishing packages.
• Evaluate subcontractor bids, compare rates, and prepare comparative statements for management decision.
• Track project cost against budget and prepare monthly variance reports highlighting cost overruns or savings.
• Update standard rate schedules based on current market pricing for regular estimation accuracy.

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• B.E. in Civil Engineering with 2 to 6 years of experience in cost estimation or quantity surveying.
• Strong understanding of residential apartment construction methods, materials, and market pricing in Coimbatore.
• Proficiency in quantity take-off from AutoCAD drawings and BOQ preparation in MS Excel.
• Knowledge of tender processes, subcontractor bid evaluation, and comparative statement preparation.
• Familiarity with construction cost benchmarks and per-square-foot cost norms for Coimbatore residential projects.
• Attention to detail and analytical mindset to identify cost optimization opportunities.
• Experience with estimation software such as CostX or Candy is an advantage for senior estimation roles.
• Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Coimbatore.
