📌 Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and ensure compliance with applicable labour legislation including the Factories Act, Shops and Establishments Act, Contract Labour Act, and Minimum Wages Act
• Maintain statutory registers, muster rolls, wage registers, and leave records as required under Tamil Nadu labour law and central labour legislation
• File monthly and annual returns for PF, ESI, professional tax, and labour welfare fund contributions with the appropriate government departments
• Conduct internal compliance audits for client accounts to identify gaps in statutory record-keeping, licence validity, and return filing timeliness
• Manage the renewal of labour licences, factory licences, shops and establishments registrations, and other statutory permits for the firm and its clients
• Prepare compliance reports and status dashboards for client HR heads and legal teams covering all statutory obligations and their current fulfilment status
• Stay current on amendments to Indian and Tamil Nadu-specific labour laws, GST on staffing services, and government notifications affecting employer compliance obligations

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• Graduate in Commerce, Law, or any discipline with 0 to 4 years of HR compliance or labour law compliance experience at a staffing firm or HR consultancy
• Working knowledge of key Indian labour laws including the Factories Act, Shops and Establishments Act, Contract Labour Act, Minimum Wages Act, and POSH Act
• Hands-on experience with statutory filings for PF, ESI, professional tax, and labour welfare fund with the relevant central and state government portals
• Ability to maintain statutory registers and records as required under applicable labour legislation and prepare documentation for government inspections
• Experience conducting HR compliance audits to identify non-compliance areas and prepare corrective action plans for client organisations
• Knowledge of labour licence requirements under the Contract Labour Act and the process for obtaining, renewing, and surrendering licences for client sites
• Attention to detail and organised record-keeping skills for managing multiple client compliance calendars, return filing deadlines, and licence renewal dates
• Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Coimbatore.
