📌 Key Responsibilities

• Identify and develop utility scale solar and wind energy project opportunities in Tamil Nadu and other southern states for private renewable energy IPPs
• Lead land acquisition activities including land scouting, owner negotiations, lease or sale agreement execution, and land title clearance
• Conduct grid feasibility studies and coordinate with STU or CTU for transmission connectivity applications and power evacuation approvals
• Negotiate and structure power purchase agreements with DISCOM, commercial and industrial open access consumers, and energy traders
• Prepare detailed project reports and financial models including IRR, DSCR, and equity return analysis for project investment decisions
• Manage environmental and social impact assessment processes and obtain necessary statutory clearances for greenfield projects
• Represent the company in regulatory proceedings before TNERC, CERC, and other statutory bodies on tariff and open access matters

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• Describe the steps involved in developing a greenfield 50 MW solar project in Tamil Nadu from site identification to PPA execution
• How do you assess the grid evacuation feasibility for a 100 MW solar project proposing to connect at a 230 kV substation in Tamil Nadu?
• What are the key terms you negotiate in a 25-year PPA with a DISCOM for a utility scale solar project?
• How do you structure a land lease agreement for a large solar project to protect the developer's long-term interests?
• Describe the environmental clearance process for a greenfield solar project under the EIA notification in India
• What are the key risks in utility scale renewable energy project development in Tamil Nadu and how do you mitigate them?
• How do you build the financial model for a 100 MW solar project and what assumptions drive the IRR calculation?
• Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Coimbatore.

B.E. Electrical or Mechanical for solar project engineer and design engineer roles; Diploma Electrical for solar installation technician and O and M technician roles; ITI Electrician for solar rooftop installation and maintenance roles; MNRE solar installer certification preferred for rooftop solar technician roles; AutoCAD and PVSyst for solar design engineer roles; MBA or Graduate for solar sales and business development roles; PGDM Energy Management from TERI or IGNOU for renewable energy management roles; knowledge of net metering regulations and TANGEDCO grid connectivity norms for sales and project roles in Tamil Nadu; basic electrical safety certification for all site roles
